Most of the estimates that the manufacturers of conservers give, are based on 20 breaths per minute, when they tell you how long an M6 tank will last at a particular setting.
I use an AirSep Elite, with it hanging over my shoulder and I am always adjusting the settings based on what I am doing.
I might have it set at 5 when I am walking into the restaurant, and then lower the setting to 1 while I am seated and eating. I alway double check with the pulseox to make sure that my O2 sats are correct. Of course, I could always leave it at the highest setting that I might need, but then I would soon tire of having to carry along the extra M6 tanks.
