Spiriva replaces Atrovent, and many people think it is better. You could try it, but keep using the albuterol as your doctor prescribes. You might also discuss using Serevent along with the Flovent (so you would have a long-acting bronchodilator--12 hours--plus a steroid) or Advair, which combines the two into one medication. So your ideal lineup might be: Albuterol - Spiriva - Advair -- in that order.
