I started taking the flu shot in 1997. The injection site would get extremely red and the redness would spread from one side of my arm to the other. This went on til 2002 and when I had my shot that year, I broke out in a rash that covered both arms and chest. I told my pulmo about it and he said no more flu shots because the next one might shut down my respiratory system. He wanted to know if I was allergic to eggs. I told him I could eat eggs and they didn't seem to bother me. He decided it had to be something in the shot that I was allergic to. I have since been tested for allergies and I am allergic to eggs. The funny part about it is I can still eat eggs with out having any problems. I have same as begged doctors to give me the shot, but, they all say no.
