Great ZOT! Such diatribes! What has become of us, people?! My goodness gracious! Good ol' boys'n'hicks'n'hillbillies, $50,000 boats, not family-oriented, hardcore? Good Grief! Every derby I've ever fished had a balanced mix of all the above, and that, in my humble opinion () made each derby fun and unique! By the way...Kendra and her family fish from a Fish Rite now and a JetCraft prior to that. Never seen 'em in a North River. As for me, I fish from a drift boat for cryin' out loud, with a manual downrigger(North River brand of boat, but that's another story) and I never feel out of place! You make it what you want of it. You walk up to people and start yakkin' it up and they'll yak it up right back! No slights, no condescending, just pure, outright fishin' talk! It's really sad that Nelson Money's leaving Project Kokanee is the impetus behind all these negative posts and the like! I've been saying for YEARS that these two organizations would be more succesful and have more political clout if they worked in tandem. It would appear that that is beginning to happen. Every organization, company, or entity has its "Old Guard", and that's the nature of any business. Heck, someone had to start the dad-gummed thing! The time has come to stop the negativity and each and every member of BOTH organizations come to the full realization that without one another, not a SINGLE ONE OF YOU will have ANY fishing in any inland body of water unless you want to become a dreaded "Bass" fisher-person.
