I had the great pleasure Friday to fish retired UCD law prefacer Mortimer Schwartz. We got to the main body about 7:15 and it wasn’t long and we were putting the fish in the boat. We had lines from the surface to 40 feet deep. Fished skiers cove for two hours for multiple hookups on clean rainbows to 16 inches and kings to 18 inches. Then the move up the lake produced a nice 17 inch koke that went just under 2 pounds if this is what we got to look forward to at Berryessa this year it is going to be a outstanding year.
The best setups were:
3/0 Sep’s watermelon Dodger and a Larry’s blue tiger
3/0 Sep’s Chrome Starlight with rolled shad
4/0 Sep’s UV Pink Dodger and a pink RGT
Scent was Pro Cure Koke special, carp spit, garlic plus all fish came at a 1.0 to 1.5 mph on the GPS. This warm weather is going to put this lake into high dear so hang on. Will be back out Sunday will seya there. T-ROY
