I would like to request that we all (and I include myself) stop and think about a few things. I realize that some may disagree with what I am about to say and some may agree but I feel I need to say what on my mind.
I am a life member of Project Kokanee and started guiding for Kokanee in 1995. I have lived the politics, got mad, and been on the board of directors, pro staffs and everything else you can think of. The bottom line is we need to let the board members deal with this issue. It’s easy to post on this board but as one just told me on the phone “If you have an issue why don’t you attend the meetings and voice your concern” that made me think. I am guilty of not attending meetings, events and getting involved over the last few years. Partly because I have been working out of town for 7 months and only home on the weekends but before that I guess it’s because I was tired of it all. I also have to say publicly that Nelsen, Sep, Rod and all of the current and past board members have done more for this organization than I could ever dream of. I don‘t think anyone can disagree with that. This does not mean I agree with everything but that’s my right and the right each of us have. It also needs to be said that all this could have a huge impact on sponsors. This is not why they invest money towards this organization. We all need to remember what this is about. When I launch at Stampede and Davis Lake this weekend those fish could care a less what we are posting on this board. I am guilty of everything I am writing about and am asking that we all take a step back and work together to do what’s best for the fish. If any of my post offended anyone I sincerely apologize. I hope to be in town and attend the next meeting, get involved and support what this is all about The Fish. In the mean time I will just hang out in the high country were the fish fight hard and everyone has a smile.
Respectfully,
Rick Kennedy
