I am truly disappointed that Nelsen resigned his position as President of CIFFI. I have always and still do consider him to be a good friend.
However, those of you who are placing exclusive blame on the CIFFI BOD are wrong to do so. You do not have all of the facts. There is no closed-door conspiracy to push Nelsen out.
Without going into detail, let me assure you that the relationship between Project Kokanee and Kokanee Power had absolutely nothing to do with any contemporary issue before the board. In fact, all of the members of the board (including those who have had past issues with KP) had jointly made the decision quite some time ago to support a cordial, professional working relationship with KP. This was a conscious decision based upon the good of both organizations and especially the inland fisheries.
Nelsen was not forced out. His resignation was not prompted by the CIFFI BOD. Those who are expressing that opinion are wrong.
Jim
