The recent events that have occurred have been disturbing and disruptive to me. It saddens me that one who says he has only the best for CIFFI at heart, has in one day, done so much damage to the organization. To point fingers, accuse others and insinuate other things has only reinforced my decision, as a member of the Executive Board, in accepting Nelsen’s resignation.
To say that “the old board” should step down is totally inappropriate. Sep, Marilyn, and Rod are the knowledge base of this organization. Who better to deal with DFG, sponsors, and suppliers than those three. They have the contacts, resources, knowledge and tenacious dedication it takes to deal with all of the political wrangling to find, get and utilize the information gleaned from the different entities. Although I am a firm believer in what CIFFI stands for and its accomplishments, I, for one, would not like to be placed into that arena.
I have not responded to any of the posts for I have felt that the officers have done an excellent job with their responses. It would be futile to continue any further bantering. I post now only to further show my support for what the officers have posted.
Accusing any one person or any group of persons for Nelsen’s resignation solely because of his involvement with Kokanee Power is also inappropriate. There have been months of issues regarding many of Nelsen’s “visions” , of which I am still not totally clear on, that have had absolutely nothing to do with KP.
It is my hope members can see to continue to support CIFFI to build this organization even stronger with grace, dignity and professionalism as we have done in the past for the future of our fisheries.
