I contacted Kerry (owner of the Pardee consession) in regards to the ever present and growing Quagga Mussel problem.. aside from the obvious of having to have your entire boat dry, (plug pulled, motor dry, bilge dry, livewell dry, etc) here is additional information........
she wrote:
"You are correct about the boat being dry everywhere. Also any boat registered in San Benito or Santa Clara counties or out of state will not be allowed to launch. Any boat that has been operated or moored in Lake Mead, Lake Havasu, Lake Mojave, Lake Skinner, San Justo will also not be allowed to launch."
Since Pardee is an East Bay Municipal Utility District lake, it is likely that this will hold true for the others they have as well...Lake Camanche is one such lake, so please take all of this under consideration before making a very disappointing trip.
