Monte & John; Thanks for the suggestions. Nautamatic has been sold recently,and purchased by Garmin(GPS company). the do not do "direct" sales anymore.this according to Sunny. it takes up to 3 weeks now to get parts through a "wholesaler". yestarday,in Sacramento,i called Sacramento Performance Marine(North River Boats),and the parts guy there was kind enough to take a Handheld out of a box of a complete TR-1 unit,and sell it to me.excellent service to do that!! it surprized me!! i now have a new one on the way today.but thanks guys for your suggestions,and help.it is appreciated! Monte,sorry for not getting back to you on the Pancake weights.i just ran out of time to come and get them from you,getting ready for the Shasta Lake Trout Derby.i had to leave on Wednesday last week,worked Monday,and had Tuesday to do all the little things to get the boat & truck ready for the trip.hang on to them,unless you find another buyer,and i'll get them from you down the road.i ended up taking 11th place at the derby,despite dealing with not being able to steer the boat to well.had to lock the kicker in place straight forward,use the Minn Kota on low speed to steer the boat,and lock the speed in at the pace i wanted to troll at.and we had wind gusting at 25 knots!! it was a real fire drill trying to steer in that kind of wind,and fight a fish!! i was exhausted at the end of the day.i ended up having a fish first thing Sunday morning,that i figure would have put me in first or second place,but ended up loosing it,due to the problems with the steering & speed.pulled the lure right out of it's mouth,before i could do anything about it.oh well,thats fishing!! Monte,have you been doing any King Salmon trolling at Pedro lately? if so,how have you been doing? what's been working,and what location is best.thanks for the info.talk to you soon!!
