Hey Warren .. I have had issue's with our handheld remote'..on the Tr1... When you call the "Service center" .. @ Tr1 they should be more than happy to get a new one" or remote out @ priority mail! This company as far as "personal service" has blown away any other company I have dealt with..friendly /fast .Give them your cell they call back ASAP..Which for me Allways has been lightspeed.. The only reason I throw this info/ opinion out is on New melones..sept22 our unit crapped in the middle of a tournament..called them on the WATER "had phone service" ..got issue solved part sent out and recieved SAME WEEK.. Best luck ...Btw--very few people to my knowledge have "spare" parts for these since they cost so damn much to start! "Tightlines" and goodluck Warren! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND A WIRELESS REMOTE!! EXPENSIVE but if handheld unit craps..it is an INSTANT backup! ....I also am not a fan of wires hanging around the boat! ... The Tr1 gold is like a mini-PC I have yet to even touch the full operation of my unit..GPS..etc..Man overboard! Wow..gets a little confusing..' REMOTE TROLL..for about 1000.00 buck's makes a "great" second best! Allways go to the
