Tats are a touchy subject for me. I for one do not care for them especially on females. I feel the bible does tell us that we are not to mar our body and that does mean tattoos. I spent 20 years in the US NAvy and never got one. Actually, I never saw one I would want for life. With all that said, I look at it now that.. No no one should get one however, I do not hold it against a person who already has one, or some as the case may be. In the case of the priest, he had them beffore becoming ordainedd, they had to know of it and acccepted him. as long as he keeeps them covered, I see nothing wrong with it. When I worked in the tourist industry, many of my friends had tats and they had to keep them covered while working. So if it was done before one came to the Lord I see nothing wrong and they can maybe guide others to not getting them. I will pray that things are reconsideredd for this priest.
