I'm looking for anyone with info about my mother's family. Her name was Ella Louise (SALYERS) Wilson b.1931. She had a sister Lillian Gertrude (SALYERS) Robinson, and brother's James Estel, Oscar Lee, Bill Henry, Ezrah Mitchell, and George Thomas SALYERS. They grew up outside of Prestonsburg from appx. 1920 to 1940 but moved onto Highland Ave. in Prestonsburg where their father, my Grampa, was buried on a hill in a cemetary near the family home in 1964. Their mother, my Granny, was Margaret Jane (OSBORNE) Salyers, b.1900. Her mother was Amilinda (BURTON) Osborne. Amilinda had many siblings but only remember a brother named James BURTON. He was the last one known to have the family bible with geneology info. My mother's father, my Grampa, was Thomas Jay SALYERS b.1890. He worked in a coal mine near Prestonsburg or possibly Van Lear. He was also a Floyd County Deputy Sheriff in the 40's or 50's. Not much information on his side of the family with me at this time, although I do know he had a brother Charles Henry Salyers, a sister Cora Lee (Salyers) ?, and a sister Edna ? (Salyers) BEAVERS and possibly other siblings, as well. Thank you for any info. pam6180@live.com
