My name is John Stapleton. I have been looking for my paternal great grandmother for 10 years. I have records for her up till 1880 when she lived at a poor farm in Wayne County, West Virginia. After my grandfather was born while she still lived at the poor farm in 1888, she basically fell off the face of the earth. Just recently, I got a lead that says a Mahala Stapleton married a Morris Wilson in Lawrence County Kentucky. No date was given. I am hoping someone might help confirm one way or the other.
