Searching for a Jim Henry Elam. He's my grandfather on my mother's side of the family. He married my gmother, Lula Jane Stanley, abt. 1906-07 somewhere in North Georgia, probably Fannin, Gilmer or Murray County, and had 2 daughters. Grace Adeline in 1907 and my mother, Decie Mylinda in 1911 and seemed to vanish at that point. The only thing I know is that he owned some land in Morgan County, KY in the Coffee Creek area and he owed back taxes on that land in 1910. This is the only record I've ever found for Jim Henry Elam. Can anybody help? I've been hunting him for many years and need some help to find him. My name is Don Maness and I live in Dalton, GA. I've searched county records for a marriage, divorce, death or any type record for just about all north GA counties. So far, nothing! HELP!!
