Roberta, my grandfather is the Autie Crockett Pelfrey whom you mention. My father (Addie Herbert) said that Richard's first wife was Nancy McClain, and that they had five children. Nancy died, and he married Eliza McDaniel. They had four children: George, William, Nancy Ann, and Autie. Eliza married Preston Hall when Richard died, and my father primarily remembered "Grandpa Hall." Preston's first wife had been Charlotte Templeman. They had children: Walter, Enoch, Susie, and Miriam. Somewhere I found web information that Preston Hall and Eliza Pelfrey in Rowan Cnty. married on May 8, 1892. My grandfather Autie was eight, and would have been nine on Sept. 3. Dad never provided any information on what you really are seeking: the two half sisters of my grandfather. I was unaware of them.
Preston married again. I am not sure of this, but I think the next wife may have been named Mandy, and I barely remember seeing her once in IN when they came to visit my grandparents--probably back in the late 1930s. I am 76 years old, to be 77 in June.
I live in Moberly, MO. Out of curiosity, what is your connection, etc.?
