An indenture record from Nelson County, KY Deed Book 13, page 24, that states Henry Kellen was a "poor boy" of the county, and was apprenticed by the county court to Jacob Rizer, gunsmith of Bardstown, KY, on May 18, 1818, to learn the trade of gunsmith. His apprenticeship ran until his 21st birthday, which would have been circa 1825. Perhaps he was an orphan, thus the "poor boy" reference in the indenture. So his parents were in Nelson County, KY prior to 1818 when he was apprenticed. Anyone know who his parents may be? H.T.or Henry Thompson Killen is the name I know. Thanks.
