Posted by Patricia Hulbert He married Samantha Saylor b. about 1892. Their offspring were Rachel M. Crank and Simon Crank b 8/13/1917 in Bell Co. KY Samantha died and he then married my mother: Viola Mae Spears. I am the youngest of 11 children of this union. One child died in infancy. I'm searching for information regarding my paternal and maternal grandparents, and ancestors of Hugh Marcellus Crank. Thank you, Patricia Hulbert

My father was Hugh Marcellus Crank, b ?1879 in Prineville, KY. His mother's first name was Rachel, I do not know her maiden name. His father died when he was about 9/10 years old, as the story goes, he was a coal mine doctor and died in a mine fire, this would be around the 1890's. His siblings were Mabel Crank, and Frank Crank.
