I am the daughter of William Fred Gulihur, the grandaughter of William George Gulihur. I have some information which may be of help to you. I have a letter from a lady who works with genelogy and in the courthouse at Knoxville, Il. The letter states An obituary for Jasper Gulihur buried 7/31/29 at Knoxville. He would be a brother to Jason. 1 of 8 forn to the late Isaac Bulihur. He liked to tell the story of how his father saved President Lincoln's life. Lincoln and Isaac were swimming and Lincoln slipped off a log and almost drowned, but Isaac saved him. This took place in Sangamon Co. Then when Lincoln was giving his debate in Knoxville, he saw Gulhur and waved in recognition. Are we related?
