My g grandmother, Mary Thomas Colville Baird Williams, b: 20 Sept 1850, daughter of Samuel and Jane Colville of Pendleton County, KY married at the age of 18 to a James Beard(Baird). This is according to verb family history. No one seems to know where or when. I have been unable to locate a marriage certificate. In fact the ONLY listing I have been able to find on this couple is the 1880 census in Boone County, KY. That census is very difficult to read as far as spelling of last name. Looks like Beard; however, all the children spelled it Baird. By 1900 census, my g grandmother(due to the death of g grandfather) had been remarried for four year to a Mr. Williams. I am trying to find out the correct spelling for James Beard's (Baird's) last name, where and when he was born, and who his parents were. Where and when he married. Where, when and why he died? Any help anyone could give me would be greatly appreciated
