80.1.228.53Yes I have gone to Guilfest in past years, but as a Winchester man, it's the clash with the Hat Fair which has always prevented me going to Blissfields in the past.
This year Blissfields wins out as it is now within a walk (long walk) of my house. - Guilfest Clash!

Just to let you know that we were all disappointed when Guilfest moved their festival back a week to the same weekend as us this year. We have remained the same weekend as last year and just hope that people make the best decision for themselves on which festival to go to.
For a ridiculously low-cost, we'll offer great music from artists hungry to prove themselves, a smattering of top-notch quality world-class performers, great atmosphere, cheap food and drink, a beautiful site, plenty of toilets that will be cleaned regularly and a total love for our fans and new Blissfielders.
We sincerely hope you will join us and see the amazing festival we have planned for you this year

I think we will appeal to a slightly different person anyway. The trouble is you look at any other summer weekend and it is packed with festivals all over the country.
We are not afraid of competition and certainly won't be censoring any threads about other festivals like Guilfest did when a thread entitled Blissfields appeared on their forum!
this was not posted by anyone from our festival just a normal Guilfest attendee who mentioned we were on the same weekend! maybe they think they have more to worry about than us!

86.17.208.105Just thought I'd mention that my wife and I could actually get free tickets for Guilfest, however,we still choose to pay to come to Blissfields. Just thought I'd mention it. Did you know that that the smaller bands who play Guilfest have to either pay-to-play (about 3 grand a time) or sell a set amount of tickets? I know this from source from the people who can give us free tickets (FREE !! - who's really paying for them - who's covering the costs ?????) Not the behaviour we'll be seeing from the Bliss clan any time soon. Not trying to cause a nasty rumour, it's a fact. Dare you to ask them. Not sure how the Levellers would re-act if they found out what they were playing to. - Re: Guilfest Clash!

86.17.208.105not to b###h about guildford festival but since it was taken over by the council, it has been purely about making money, blissfields is not only a friendlier, better organised and more chilled out festival but they treat their fans and bands with respect, unlike guilfest!
