A sad day. Having attended the last 2 Blissfields, and having purchased tickets for this years Festival, I thought it was in a good position to take the step up to being a bigger festival than before, with an established venue and a pretty decent line up, for a real bargain price of 60 quid for the whole weekend. There was always a risk with the step up, but I thought the risk had been well mitigated with a good venue, excllent line up and good price.
Blissfields had a lovely relaxed fun atmosphere where I felt safe taking my family to, and intended to do the same this year. It is a sad sad loss to the Festival scene, and my heart goes out to the organisers who are obviously gutted and have not taken the decision lightly.
I really hope Blissfields returns next year, even if in a much smaller form, and that Paul and Mel are not fully put off by their experiences this year.
