I'm assuming you mean the SMF forums. The last version of SMF I have used is from 2 years ago, but the process should still be the same. Mod privileges for them are done on a board-by-board basis, and not on a Global level. So, while logged in as an Admin, click on the Admin menu item. Then, under the 'forum' menu category, click on the 'Boards' option, which should default to the 'modify boards' tab. For each board that you have, you will need to click on the 'modify' option, which brings up the 'Modify Boards and Categories' screen for that board. Scroll down that screen to the 'Moderators' section and enter the user name or names of the members you wish to give Moderator privileges to for that board. If more than one, separate the names with commas. Click the 'modify' button at the bottom to save the changes. If you want the same people for each board, I recommend copying the list into the clipboard, so you can then paste the names into each board as you modify them.
