Thanks. Yeah you really have to be into reptiles to keep them. For me, caring for them is more about the actual husbandry and care than the interactions. I have plenty of experience with burms and retics. Been bit in the face by a 12 foot burm which wasn't fun, but it was my own fault in the end and I couldn't be mad at it. Once it was large enough, I would never handle it alone. I have a sunbeam snake, which, IMO, is the most beautiful snake. It lives underground 24/7 and requires a lot of things to keep it alive, so although I don't get to handle it much, I still get to appreciate it.
. I guess that's how I feel about my shyer and larger snakes. Lol.
