I have try it by myself a few times to create something very easy with some of the "drag & drop Gamemakers" but i don't have enugh know how to do it in that way i want. 
I wasn't able to do things like animation of the sprites like open/close the mouth, eat or #### something etc.
There were many possibles to generate movements in picture-sprites but i wasn' able to do it.
So i have stoped my tryings in that and gave it up.
Create an interactive storytelling game is very much harder i know, but it whould be awsome.
