Scene: Godzilla’s Train Set
The massive leviathan stomps through the night, massive clouds of dust and smoke billowing up back light by the flames from behind. Occasionally, the huge reptile emits a peculiar squealing roar, incensed at the tiny creatures that had dared to assail him.
A massive, scaled sole descend upon the train tracks, shaking the ground. The conductor sees the massive, scaled wall approaching, and attempts to apply the brakes. With sparks flying, the train is slowed, but still crashes into the scale armored pillar. The first car is crushes, and the rest of the train derails. Startled, the commuters of the packed train begin to evacuate the cars, helping each other to the ground safely.
The massive reptile gives out a startled cry as the locomotive crashes into his ankle. He lashes out with a kick, grinding hundreds to gruel and sending two flattened cars flying through the night. All order gone, the crowds panics, and begin to pile forth from the cars as fast as possible.
Cavernous jaws descend towards the squirming mass below. The broad, silky tongue drags over the packed crowds on the tracks. Those inside the cars see the glistening muscle slide over the windows, pitiful figures carried past with horrified eyes. Unable to swallow so many in one gulp, flailing figure fall from the jaws as the tongue pulls in a human pile of hundreds. Godzilla closes his eyes briefly, the hundreds of squirming figures budging the bottom of his jaw. Then, with a gurgling swallow, slides them into his belly.
The remaining crowds on the tracks clamber over each other in their haste to get back in the cars. As the last figure struggles aboard, huge saurian jaws engulf the entire train car. Lights flash fitfully from the packed car, illuminating a vista of massive teeth and undulating tongue. Ahead, though a gaping hole where the car was torn in half, the undulating throat is clearly visible, ready to consume all. The passengers pound on the windows as the broad tongue wraps around the car, and sucks the crammed vehicle into the throat.
The next five cars, all still attached, slide towards the hungry behemoth, each to be devoured in turn. As the colossal reptile rears up, a train car can be seen swinging from his jaws, while his throat expands and ripples, sending each car in a doomed train towards its final stop. As Godzilla sucks the last car into his jaws, the rear doors are forced open, and some passengers leap into the open air. One man catches a woman by her wrist, saving her from a fall. As they plead and argue, a massive tongue curls up behind her, and pushing both back into the train.
Godzilla tilts back his head and swallows. Inside, the flickering lights reveal the massive tongue wrapping over the rear car, and pushing the car and screaming passengers into the wide throat. A view of pale, rippling flesh rolls past the windows; the occasional desperate human figure clinging to or sliding along. The entire car shakes and shudders to the deep booming of the mythic reptile’s awesome heart.
With a gurgle and a slurp, the train car enters the vast, cavernous stomach. The car splashes down in a frothy soup. As passengers struggle free of the cars, a faint, blue light can be seen to brighten, and dim slowly. The slowly pulsing radiance is sufficient to illuminate the train cars, ship parts, whole boats and cars, and crowds of flailing human forms, all in an undulating, rippling cavern of flesh.
Soon, the same mysterious processes that permit Godzilla to absorb radiation will also break down the vehicles, and the humans, within his belly into useful compounds. The metals will form join the metal lacing and reinforcing his bones and scales, while the human beings will melt into fatty fluids to build more flesh, or carbon diamond coating for the leviathan’s impervious scales. Nothing will be wasted, all will become a part of the massive beast.
