The Fall 4
Its Good to Be King
The Feast
While the City Center submerged under the assault of the colossal crocodile, a crowd gathered by the shores of Old Town to watch and cheer. This was a mistake.
The water erupted in an explosion and a wave of thirty to forty foot crocodiles burst upon the crowd. Most ran screaming as a score of the reptiles held squirming victims aloft to be swallowed into their expansive throats. Some were unable to flee; trapped under the bulk of the during the reptile’s rush, and farced to listen to pleas replaced by a liquid gulp, and to feel a squirming lump pass down the scaly throat unto the swollen belly of the beast.
The swarm of ravenous crocodiles waddled up into the town, chasing the fleeing townsfolk. A few tripped, and were greedily snatched up, quickly swallowed down as the creatures pursued their helpless prey.
A group of fleeing townsfolk became trapped by the brick walls of a cul-de-sac, and the crocodiles closed in. The crowd held their arms outstretched in a pitiful display to ward off the multi ton leviathans’ advance. The crocodiles simply stuffed their jaws into the crowd, and began swallowing the writhing forms two or three at a time. One had the skill and luck to escape between two reptiles with maws stuffed with people, the hands trying to reach out for him before the rippling muscles of the throat pulld them out of sight. As he clambered between the bloated bellies, he tried not to think about their gurgling and the muffled sounds from within.
By this time, many of the townsfolk had gathered into one of the larger stone buildings, hopefully strong enough to repel the crocodiles gathering around it. Others had run back towards the shore, now that the waters were empty of the massive predators.
This was another mistake. The waters of the river swelled impossible, then erupted to reveal the onrushing 60’ jaws of the world’s largest crocodile: Sobek.
