Hello Classmates:
Our c/o '75 Classmate Lanita McElroy-Williams, her husband Hubert Williams (Twin) c/o '73, and their Son are "homeless" as of (2 days ago) Tuesday, May 15, 2018. They are currently sleeping in their 4-door truck in a parking lot in San Bernardino.
They were renting with an option to buy a home in San Bernardino, Ca. since 2009 (for 9 years). They were told (3 months ago) in February that they would need to vacate the home at that time. They had always paid their rent on time and they have saved every monthly receipt of their rent being paid (but was told that they were 7 months behind in payments by the homeowner). This they knew was incorrect and untrue (but) it has to be disputed at a later date. As they have been looking for another place to stay (for the last 3 months) the management of another place that they were interested in had their credit checked and they found out that the previous homeowner who recently put them out had put an "eviction" on their credit. So now (because of the eviction showing up on their credit) they are having problems finding another place to rent. And of course, no one wants to rent to you when they see an "eviction" on your credit report.
Classmates, they need your help!!!!!
If anyone knows of a house, apartment, or rooms in someone's home for rent without someone needing a credit check or running a credit check, (in the San Bernardino area, or in the surrounding areas close to San Bernardino such as Montclair, Fontana, Ontario or Rialto please let them know). You can call their cell # at (909) 534-7825 & leave a message & they'll get back to you ASAP. Lanita & Her (Hubby) Hubert Williams are able to pay up to $1,800 a month in rent (but no more than that).
Thank You Classmates in advance for your assistance in this very delicate matter.
Classmates: Please keep Lanita & the Williams Family in your prayers & God bless you!!
P.S. Their internet service is down at the moment (but)the family is open and would love it and would be so grateful if someone would like to open up (a GO-FUND-ME account) on Facebook on their behalf to help them with any type of financial assistance through this personal crisis that they have found themselves in.
