There are a couple of petition that are circulating now regarding the Confederate Flag flying over the State Capital in South Carolina. It truly needs to come now. Don’t you think. I was asked to reach out to more people and share. What better place to reach people but on Big Ten 75 Apache Board. Right! They’ve already collected over 400,000 signatures.

Dear Move On member,
I'm Karen Hunter, a fellow Move On member, and I started a petition to the South Carolina Legislature and Governor Nikki Haley.
On the heels of the brutal killing of nine black people in a South Carolina church, it's time to put a symbol of rebellion and racism behind us and move toward healing and a better United States of America.
Can you join me in telling South Carolina lawmakers:
Remove the Confederate Flag From All Government Places
Petition by Karen Hunter
To be delivered to The South Carolina State House, The South Carolina State Senate, and Governor Nikki Haley
Petition Statement: Symbols of hate and division have no place in our government. It's time to stand up for what's right and take down the Confederate flag!
There are currently 356,479 signatures. NEW goal - We need 375,000 signatures!
PETITION BACKGROUND: Symbols of hate have no place in our government.
The Confederate flag is not a symbol of southern pride but rather a symbol of rebellion and racism. On the heels of the brutal killing of nine Black people in a South Carolina church by a racist terrorist, it's time to put that symbol of rebellion and racism behind us and move toward healing and a better United States of America!
Thanks!
–Karen
