Abiel Smith(born 1817,died Aug 29 1875 at Eastport) of Sackville, N.B.,Canada married Mary Elizabeth Tower(born about 1817) on Oct 19 1836 at Sackville,N.B. About 1850 they moved to Eastport, Maine. They had 4 children that I know of.A daughter Dorcas born 1838 died Sep 18, 1859,a son John born 1840 died Jul 11,1850 in Maine,another daughter Ruth C. born 1842 died March 12 1875 at Eastport, and finally a son Abiel T. born Aug 2,1847 at Eastport married a Charlotte Ann McDonald on Aug 7, 1887.Sh was previously married to a Robert Lank of Campobello. What I,m asking was Abiel Junior married before he married Charlotte Ann McDonald as he would be 40 years old for this marriage?Were there more children in the marriage of Abiel Smith Senior and Mary Elizabeth Tower ? Where are the burial sites for any of these people?
