Posted by Jim Dick The Northrop Delta will be of interest to us Australian customers as an example was impressed by the RAAF during WW2 and given the serial number "A61-1". It started out as Lincoln Ellsworth aircraft and was used in his 1938-39 antarctic expedition. In Feb 1939 he sold it and a Aeronca Seaplane as well as his ship the "Wyatt Earp" to the Australian government, the Dept of Civil Aviation used the aircraft for a brief period before handing it over to the RAAF. From there it flew with No 35, 34 & 37 Squadrons before coming to grief on the 30th Sept 1943 in a takeoff accident and was broken up in 1944. Regards Jim Dick --Previous Message--

Always good to see new releases in 1/48 scale
: Hello!
:
: My name is Derry Fitzgerald and I have a
: small model aircraft company which produces
: 1/48 scale aircraft kits in multi-media. I
: would like to hear your feedback on some
: releases I have planned for the fall and
: winter. These are:
: Lockheed Air Express
: Lockheed Orion 9D
: Lockheed Sirius (ANZAC & Anahuac)
:
: Northrop Gamma
: Northrop Delta
:
: I will be releasing these kits with two
: decal options. Gordon Parker at Whiskey Jack
: Decals will be doing add-on sheets as well.
:
: We would like to hear your thoughts on decal
: options etc. Prices aren't available yet but
: production will be limited to 1000 kits
: worldwide.
:
: The tooling for the Lockheeds is partially
: complete. We're just waiting back to hear
: from some photo-etch producers but this is
: simply end-run stuff. Our kits will be
: superbly packaged with EVERYTHING needed to
: produce a very fine scale replica of the
: type.
:
: Looking forward to hearing from you.
:
: Sincerely,
:
