Posted by Craig Spalding Thanks for the replies. I have spent alot of time looking at Craft shop paints but alas none mention suitability to paint plastics. I have asked at these stores but I get the standard blank stare from the shop assistants :-) Could you let me know what web site sells paints at the best price ?? All of the modellers out there must have a favourite ?? Thanks for any help, I appreciate it. HooRoo

: Hello
:
: Besides the standard Revell , Humbrol etc
: range of paints. There is a company called
: matisse that started off paints for artists,
: but they are now getting into the range of
: modellers. A local gamers society here in
: Sydney, usually has Matisse turn up @ their
: shows etc.
: I understand that these paints can be used
: with a spray gun, though i prefer the old
: fashioned paint brush. You could try your
: local art supply store or perhaps check with
: Napoleons in brisbane (the sydney one here
: carries the model style paints, so maybe the
: brisbane one might aswell). Other paints you
: could try would be the war hammer range of
: paints or there is the another brand hitting
: the shelves with some gusto, but the name
: escapes me now..they come in little plastic
: bottles ..Italian or Spanish i cant recall
: ..they have a range specially for spraying.
: If i dig out my paints I will list the name
: here.

: Gidday Again, I use both enamel and
: acrylics.
: I have recently purchased a small spraygun
: so I need to buy paints in a greater volume.
: I have seen other craft type paints but none
: of these mention plastic so I did not want
: to risk using them.

: Gidday to all, I am just getting into
: modelling but I am shocked at the cost of
: teenie tiny little tins of paint !!! Are
: there alternative Paint types I can use on
: Plastic model (AFV's) that wont break the
: bank ? I have done some searching around the
: net but alot of dead ends on Aussie sites,
: and as I live in a country town my options
: are limited. Any help or advice would be
: greatly appreciated. Thankyou for your time.
