Posted by TY on 19/1/2005, 9:48:49 Please read the categories carefully. As per previous years Section A, B and C cannot be entered by painters that have gained 1st, 2nd or 3rd in any other painting competition. This is to encourage new winners each year and ensure the painting competition is not dominated by previous winners. We have separate sections for Veterans and Elite painters. The diorama and display piece categories are open to all painters. Finally once again we have a School Diorama competition. 1st, 2nd and 3rd place is a free educational tour of the Australian War Memorial and free entry to Cockington Green Gardens. *** Section A: 25mm - 30mm Miniature ($3 per entry) Category i Category ii Section B: Model/ Miniature ($3 per entry) Category i. Category ii. Section C: Units ($3 per entry) Category i. Category ii. **** To ensure competition in the Veteran class, painters that have won a placing consistently over a number of years are to compete in the Elite Section. Veteran Class is for previous place getters in Section A to C or those painters that have won a place in other painting competitions. Painters that have never won a place in any competition may still enter this section if they are brave. (Upsets are known to happen) Section D: Veterans Class ($4 per entry) Category i Category ii Category iii ********** This is for Painters that have consistently dominated Veterans’ class or other painting competitions.
