Posted by Zef I'm hoping some of you have had some experience ordering model kits from overseas and be able to offer some advice on customs duty. After searching the customs website and downloading the tariff schedule to work out the duty payable the entry I found which seems to apply to model kits indicated duty was free. I am referring to schedule 3, section 20, chapter 95, reference number 9503.20.00. http://www.customs.gov.au/site/page.cfm?u=4273 Am I correct in classing model kits in this section? I understand GST would still be payable but I am just trying to determine if the duty tariff is indeed free. I greatly appreciate any help anyone is able to offer, especially those who have had experience in such dealings. Cheers!
