Norm, could u pls put me in touch with Merv. During the early '70s he also managed U.S. Suzuki's factory road race team. Pat was a member of the '75 team, before leaving for Europe and the GP circuit in '76. That year, Pat competed as a privateer on a production bike with no support from the Suzuk factory at all. (I think Pat may still be the last true privateer to win a GP race.) Even so, Merv was very supportive of Pat's GP effort, and that support played a key role in Pat's eary success, something that really irked Barry Sheene. Merv used to live in Southern California in the 1980s, during the years I managed U.S. Suzuki's PR dept. He moved to the Grass Valley area, in Northern California, and I lost touch with him. My wife and I now own a horse ranch in that area and spend our weekends there. Tx for ur help.
