Posted by Ty This year we have our own 5m by 4m display area in the Arts and Crafts Hall (near the Matisse display) We will be there on Easter Sunday and Easter Monday (16th and 17th April) We will be running games for the public and a paint and take table where kids will be able to paint a miniatures and take it home. This is to promote our hobby to the general public and it is our 4th year that we have been invited to the Easter show. ************************************************ Will be held at Quakers Hill High (lalor Road Quakers Hill) on the Saturday and Sunday 22nd and 23rd April 2006. This year will be big! Painting entries will be received on the stage in the main hall all day Saturday. they will be judged Saturday evening and displayed on the Sunday. ********************************************* Section A: Beginners Section – 14 and under. $2 entry. Category i: Best 25 – 30mm scale Single Figure. The Western Suburbs Games Society will be at the Sydney Royal Easter Show again for 2006.
Leviathan 2006 (Hobby Convention/ Tournamant)
The Saturday will utlise BOTH Halls and the class rooms and the Sunday will utlise the the main hall and class rooms.
The Leviathan Painting Categories
Section B: General Section. $3 entry.
Section C: Veterans Class.
This class is for previous place getters in the General Section or those painters that have won a place in any other painting competition. Painters who have never won a place in any competition may still enter this section if they are brave. To ensure competition in this class Veteran painters that have won a placing consistently over a number of years are to compete in the Elite Section. $5 entry.
Section D: Elite Class.
This is for painters who have consistently dominated Veterans’ class or other painting competitions. Any painter may enter this section if they are extremely brave. $5 entry.
Section E: Open to all painters
Dioramas and Display Pieces – . $5 Entry.
(Any scale miniature allowed. Entries must portray a scene. Base minimum 120 x 80mm)
