Posted by Gary Byk I am sorry to advise you that A46-228 was a Boomerang coded BF-M, and carried the nose art bearing the title 'Miss Albany'. The serial was in black, all else was white, on overall Foliage Green with white theatre markings (wing LE and tail). The code BF-R was allocated to a Wirraway allotted to 5 Sqn at the time. This is a mistake that results from photo interpretation by Pentland almost 35 years ago that has been perpetuated ever since by almopst every reference. I have produced a small decal sheet for this very subject that may be of interest.
