Sultan Abdul Halim Mu’adzam Shah, the Sultan of Kedah, was chosen by the Council of Rulers to be the next Yang di-Pertuan Agong (King) of Malaysia. This will be the first case in the history of the Malaysian Federation for a Ruler to become the King twice.
