Gyanendra bows out with dignity

I just saw a report on BBC World about the ex-King and ex-Queen of Nepal vacating the palace. The former monarch gave a good account of himself to the assembled media and left peacefully (mobbed by photographers) and without incident. He is to live in a modest royal hunting lodge outside of the capital and insists that he will not go into exile. I hope that he and his family are permitted to live in peace as citizens of the new republic.
