Not really...
This is just one more move in the strange Nepali game, the Monarchy will not be abolished now actually (at least nothing will change as far as The King and the rest of the family are concerned, their staying where they live now etc.), the republic will be proclaimed, yes, but the *implementation* of this decision will only take place after the polls (so de facto no change at all right now!) which means that, in theory, if the parties which are in favour of the Monarchy win there will be no change in status quo. It is just a stupid thing to be done to convince Maoists to return to the government and cooperate with the rest of the parties before the CA polls.
