You are right that there are unscrubulous people out there. But what you don't seem to realize that there are also people out there that have been unfairly trashed. I know the people involved in this - do you? I've seen CVO posting all over the internet and seen her run off of several boards for her bad temper and bad mouthing everyone and everything. Don't believe everything you read.
