Posted by observer on 1/4/2004, 1:17 pm, in reply to "thank you for understanding-that is my point!" A "club foot" can be a very subjective thing. Many people disagree on what is and is not a club foot. I think this whole thing is based on different opinions regarding club feet, not deliberate acts of dishonesty. I know I certainly don't feel that every horse that has one heel slightly higher or perhaps a slight dish in the foot is club footed. However, if you had a concern you should have had a vet exam and gotten a third opinion before buying the horse. And to say what use is it when there is a conflict of interest using the Seller's vet doesn't make sense either. There are umpteen vets in that area you could have used. Getting a vet check would have saved both parties a lot of grief.

I have always believed there are two sides to every story so I contacted the sellers. Very interesting to hear "the other side of the coin". They will not get involved in any more internet "pissing contests" here. All I can say is people should never form judgements based on what they read on the internet or hear through idle gossip. The Seller did say she printed out all the e-mail correspondance between the two of you.
Can you back up your statement regarding "umpteen e-mails stating you would not buy a horse with a club foot" with proof of all these e-mails?
