I still love Minnie BUT the choice was taken from me bynot disclosing it prepurchase.I am old enough to trust people and believe in gentlemens agreements-I did not see the mare in person 1st as she is 1/2 way across country so I had to trust the owners.In every other horse purchase before I had had a prepurchase exam and I obviously never will buy another horse without one but would good is an exam if youuse a vet the seller knows? Conflict of interest big time and so that is the only reason I did not have it done-I figured it was a moot point and trusted the owners to do the right thing.Especially after umpteen emails saying I would not buy a horse with a club foot!!! Right now I am trying to lease or sell her.Her foot is not very bad and I would still breed her as she is sound.Yes other lines carry the trait-this one is just notorious as far as show horses go.Some of the Russian and Egyptian horses I have seen also have this come out pretty frequently as well.
