arabian weight

Hi everyone, I have just purchased an arabian mare who is 11 years old and is a bit skinny (in my opinion) She has gained some weight in the month that i have had her and she now has a grass belly but i cant seem to get weight on her butt (her croup bone is pretty prominant)...and i am not sure if this is common in arabians. Can anyone give me some info on this subject and any tips on keeping arabians would be apreciated.
