Shed winter coat

Hi all!

I live in Arizona & we are into our winter season (60's to 70's during the day, but colder at night 30's - 40's.) I just received an Arab from Minnesota that has a thick winter coat. Does anyone know if she will start shedding her coat now in these Arizona temps? I brush her everyday & each day a lot more of her coat is falling off. She is 26 years old and was in MN all her life.
