I did wait till wednesday and the farrier also said it looked like a punture wound only he suggested Bigel Oil. I have been doing this for three days twice a day and the swelling very close to gone. He hasn't been favoring it at all and today i was him running at top speed playing with his pals and having no problems with it. I think i'll continue to put bigel oil on it untill i'm sure theres no problems but it appears he'll be fine without a vet check
