Ok a few weeks ago I got two arabain geldings. They were very underweight, we rescued them from a flood. The owner told us to give them about one coffee cans worth of oats and about 5 lbs of alfalpha hay. Well, one of our neighbors, brought us over about 3 quarters of a ton of alfalpha hay, and he said to give them about 5-10 times more than the owner told us to give them. I am very confused now. He gave them some at 2p.m. and they were eating until 5p.m. and then I got worried and took them out of the barn. They still have a lot left. How much should I feed them?
