Hi, I am a South-African who read your short message. I have one arabian mare who I have difficulty in getting settled. She is 13 years old, and foaled about 4 times. One foal was while I owned her last year. The breeder did not sel her to mare as a breeding mare, as he said that she had difficulties getting settled. Last year, she did not come into season, or it did not seem like it - however, I am convinced that she had a mental fear for a stallion. She can not stand a white or chestnut stallion. We eventually got her settled by a black arab stallion. She fell pregnant the first time round, did not have any trouble givin birth and is an acceptional mother. This year however, we are having the same thing all over again. She come in season, but do not want to stand for the stallion. I do not want to hobble her, just to have her serviced. Any ideas?
