Right now the market is down. So far you have a GRADE 3 yr old mare that is somewhat broke to ride. I would probably price her at $500.00. Around my area you can pick up a good broke horse for around $800. If she is 1/2 arab you could possibly register her with the 1/2 arab registry but then again you would need to know her dam or sire(which ever is arab) and have the proper paper down from them! It's going to be hard to get papers on your mare from the sounds of it!
: Hello,
:
: I recently acquired an Appy mare and I know
: nothing about the breed. Here is the
: situation: This mare was part of a herd
: dispersal when her owner died. Her owner's
: wife wasn't involved in the horses and
: didn't know if they were registered, or what
: to do with them. Their son came in and
: helped register the ones he couldn't find
: papers for, but apparently my mare's papers
: were sent with a different horse by mistake
: (this was before I got her). I have
: contacted the AApA where she was registered,
: but thus far they have been unable to
: contact the person with my mare's papers. I
: guess I'm asking for some advice on how to
: proceed - is this the only registry she can
: be registered with? I have had a few
: potential buyers, but I have no clue what
: she is worth. Here is what I was told; she
: is a Blue Roan, between 3-5 years old and
: she is green-broke. She may also be half
: Arab - does that increase, or decrease her
: value? She is a beautiful and very calm
: natured mare.
:
: Any information that someone give me would
: be greatly appreciated!
:
: Thank you so much,
: Wendy
