I once had a small, true buckskin mare that I was told was 1/2 appaloosa and 1/2 quarter horse. In retrospect, is it possible for an appaloosa to throw a true buckskin? I'm thinking now, that due to her gorgeous head and rather hotblooded nature, she may in fact have been 1/2 arabian. This was years ago and I have been pondering this question for quite some time. I would appreciate any thoughts on the subject. She had absolutely NO appy markings; I can't remember if her hooves had stripes or not.
